Brian Loring is President & Founder of ManageVisors. Brian brings more than 15 years experience to his contractor clients as a certified property manager, commercial real estate advisor, institutional investment specialist and leasing agent as well as business broker.
Brian has an exceptional understanding of the business sales marketplace in California. He carries the professional designation of Certified Value Builder (CVB), awarded to financial professionals working to create life-changing exits for entrepreneurs.
He’s been a California broker since 2005, closing more than $150 Million in business and commercial transactions. He sold businesses in all industries throughout the U.S. while working with First Choice Business Brokers, eBiz Advisers and Raincatcher before forming ManageVisors and deciding to focus exclusively on construction and contractor sales.
He has worn many hats in real estate and property management and currently owns multifamily units throughout Los Angeles County. He is certified as an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) with the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM). Prior to focusing on business sales he was a third-party manager of multifamily units and single-family homes in numerous parts of Southern California. He also headed a boutique asset management firm that invested roughly $20 Million in repositioning single family homes and apartments during the Great Recession.
Brian’s work with trade professionals over the years is what prompted the birth of ManageVisors. His team wants to ensure contractors are guided down the right path and get the best information when it comes time to sell their business and create a life-changing exit.
Contractor businesses have unique challenges in the sale process. There are often licensing & RMO roadblocks, intricate working capital adjustments, precise work-in-progress calculations, lengthy transition periods, delicate confidentiality needs, substantial equipment and vehicle rosters, plus a host of delicate issues which need to be handled expertly.

A fun side note on Brian’s career. He is likely the only business broker or M&A advisor in the country who has also won multiple Emmy Awards in the television industry. During his previous career in television news, he won statuettes as an investigative producer and consumer unit manager at KCBS-Los Angeles and KNTV-San Francisco. Brian is a lifelong Californian, a graduate of Cal State Northridge and an avid golfer who wishes he could get his 4-handicap back.
